On this page I have put links to the sources of several Macintosh utilities and applications that I find invaluable. Most are Shareware or Freeware, some may have to be purchased though. The programs discussed are shown in the following list. Fetch
By far the No. 1 FTP client for the Mac is Fetch. It is a rather simple interface, and is a very powerful FTP client. While there aren't an abundance of ftp clients available for the Mac, fetch has been the FTP client of choice since 1989.
Safe Shred
Throwing your personal files into the Trash is not enough. Just like in the real world, files thrown into the Trash are not safe; those files still exist buried inside of your computer's hard drive. To completely remove files, you need to shred them with SafeShred. You can use SafeShred to permanently delete files & folders, shred entire drives and even shred files you've already Trashed!
Stuffit Expander
