Internet Explorer is possessed! You are not asking for very much. When you click on a link you would like to see the window that opens up. But it opens up off screen. What is a person to do. I want my window. Well buckle your seat belt, you need to edit the registry
Edit the registry
When you're ready to edit the registry, do the following:
- To get to the registry, click Start | Run, then type "regedit" (sans quotes) and click OK.
- Now, navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Main.
- Once there, you need to delete the registry value called "windows_placement" (sans quotes).
- Now, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Desktop \ Old WorkArea, and then
- delete the registry value named "OldWorkAreaRects" (sans quotes).
- All that is left is to restart your computer, and from now on your Internet Explorer new windows will open on the screen.
