Arrrggghhh!
Some have written in about a frustrating situation. When messages are marked for deletion, a line is put through them without removing them. Well, here is the solution
Microsoft Outlook
1. Select the folder you wish to clear deleted messages out of.
2. Click the ‘Edit’ menu and go down to ‘Purge Deleted Messages.’
WARNING! Once purged, messages can’t be recovered!! They do not go to the trash.
3. Select either yes or no to get rid of the messages.
Netscape
1. Right-click (or left-click if you have a left-handed mouse setup) on the inbox folder.
2. Select ‘Compress Folder.’ This should remove all of the messages you have marked for deletion.
