Multimedia is computer-based, interactive, and personalized. This semester we will be looking at how to create multimedia experiences using three different presentation methods. We begin the semester by building multimedia websites, then move to multimedia PDFs, and finish with some basic Flash.

This course requires that you have some basic familiarity with HTML and Dreamweaver. You should already know how to set up your site folder, how to manually set up a basic HTML page, and know how to access your university WebDav account. These are all things taught in COMM 323: Communication and the World Wide Web. I would highly recommend taking that course before this one. It would also be beneficial for you to have some understanding of InDesign. If you have already completed Desktop Publishing you will be fine.
