How to submit:
Submit your completed site by loading the project folder into the comm324 folder on your WebDav. After loading everything on your Webdav server, go back through the site and make sure all the links work and images and other media load correctly.
Create a folder called comm324. Inside that folder create a folder called lab1. All your files for the lab assignment need to be placed in the project1 folder. Remember to call your homepage index.html. You will move the folder into your comm324 folder on your Webdav server.
Minimum Requirements (must exceed to receive an A or B):
Create (or recreate) a self-contained interactive PDF presentation for either the communication department or one of the department’s student organizations. Your project can be either self-playing or can require the user to click through. This file should be something that could be played on a laptop or downloaded from a website. The content should be self-explanatory and not include links to outside websites.
You need to include the following elements somehow (you can name these anything you desire):
Make sure that you have a consistent navigation menu throughout your site and that each page can be easily accessed. The user needs to be able to easily move throughout your presentation.
You may find the Adobe Kuler site helpful for choosing color schemes. There is a short tutorial on iTunesU demonstrating the site. Don’t forget about the Creative Commons website. You can search for graphics, photos, music tracks, and video backgrounds that you can use. We also have access to music tracks and backgrounds within the department. If you are interested in these you can see me. There are links under the Resources section of Blackboard with more design tips and tutorials.
Photos and graphics are also available through the University Relations website:
