Welcome
to the University of Tennessee
Martin Cheerleading website.
Thank you for your interest in our
program.
The
UT Martin Cheer Squad is composed of
16 members. At the
present time the squad is All-Girl.
We
are proud members of the Ohio Valley
Conference. We cheer for
Football, Men's Basketball, Women's
Basketball and some Volleyball games.
Scholarships
are available and all uniforms and
accessories are provided for team members.

If you
would like to visit a practice
session, please call and let us
know. We would be happy to
talk with you or arrange for you to
work out with us.
As
the program continues to grow we
have several exciting ideas and
plans for the future of the Skyhawk
Cheer Squad. Our goals are
simple; entertain the crowd,
maintain school spirit, and have fun
with the athletics involved in
cheerleading!

"Quality
is an attribute that we strive for
in all UT Martin academic and
extracurricular programs. The cheer
squad is definitely a group of
quality student athletes. They have
thrilled fans and represented UT
Martin in an extraordinary manner.
The coaches and team members have
set a new standard in entertainment
and school spirit."

Quote
from Ms. Bettye Giles
"Years
of association with collegiate
athletics has impressed on me the
true value of support from spirit
groups. A perfect example is the
UT Martin cheer squad.
These spirit leaders have Skyhawk
fans standing, clapping, yelling,
and responding to their enthusiasm.
Their excitement not only 'pumps up'
the crowd in support of our players
but provides thrilling entertainment
for the fans in the stands!!"

Director of UTM Women's Athletics

From
our Faculty Athletic
Representative:
"The
UT Martin cheerleaders have
added fun and excitement to UT
Martin's athletic events in their
first year under the direction of
Coach Fran Spears and her staff.
They are student-athletes in the
truest sense. As the Faculty
Athletic Representative for our
athletic programs, it is extremely
gratifying for me to see this group
of outstanding young men and women
come so far so fast. "
