• 64 Megabytes available RAM memory (128 megabytes or more strongly preferred)
• A CD-ROM drive or DVD drive capable of reading CD/R disks
• 20 megabytes of available (a.k.a. "free") hard disk storage
• Sound Blaster compatible audio card (16-bit or above)
• Audio speakers and a high quality, ambient noise rejecting microphone (NOT a USB microphone) OR a headset with attached speakers and microphone (strongly preferred)

• Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or better

  Some versions of Netscape Navigator/Communicator may also work but are not supported through the New College Call Center and Help Desk. We suggest installing Internet Explorer for the convenience of your learning and troubleshooting needs.
