TeacherAide: Gradebook On Your iPad (and iPod/iPhone too!)

Summary: TeacherAide is a gradebook application for iOS devices (iPad/iPhone/iPod) developed to provide the instructor with a portable gradebook allowing them to record attendance and assignments, and to communicate with students. It is also a classroom tool whereby the instructor can sort students randomly for class participation. It interacts with Dropbox, supports printing, and will be demonstrated in the session using an iPad.

Here comes LASSI: Using Technology To Empower Student Skills Improvement

Summary: The LASSI, or Learning and Study Skills Inventory, is used in over 2,000 US schools, including here at UT Martin. Students can take this instrument to determine their skill areas where they need help. The instructor can then tailor their instruction to best meet the needs of students. This session will share the findings that Dr. MacKewn discovered in using this instrument in her classes and how you can do the same thing with your students to provide better learning experiences in your classroom.
