  • Sept. 22. Fort Pillow State Park. One of the most beautiful hikes anywhere along the Mississippi River is at Fort Pillow. Check out the stunning bluff top river views from the Parks campground then take the scenic hike. Hike the 5 mile loop north then to the campground. Check out the stunning bluff top river views from the camptround, then go south out of the campground on a jeep road. This will soon turn into a one-way, two-mile, rolling hike traversing the river bluffs through a beautiful forest with stunning views at a great bend in the Mississippi river.

  • Oct. 27. Ferne Clyffe State Park We will park at the trailhead to Hawk's Cave, and after taking a spur to a wet-weather waterfall, proceed on a loop through the stone bluffs of Hawk's Cave and the River to River Trail. Shortly after crossing a natural stone bridge, we begin our descent to the valley floor and return along Happy Hollow Creek. Approximately 7 miles.

  • Oct. 12-14. Annual Meeting at the 4-H camp at Crossville, TN. Various hikes are planned, including Virgin Falls, Hidden Passage Trail at Pickett State Park, Angel Falls Overlook, Twin Arches Loop, Honey Creek Trail and many more.

  • Dec. 1. Bear Creek Loop at LBL. Trail is around 6 miles across open meadows and ridges. Trail begins at South Visitor's Center.

  • Jan. 21. North/South Trail at LBL We continue our annual trek on the North-South Trail starting where we left off last year near the Cedar Pond Picnic Area (where the N/S trail crosses the Trace) to near Briar Rose Branch (where the trail intersects with Tharpe Road). Distance is approximately 7 miles. Rolling hills. Easy.
