St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church

104 Hannings Lane,
Martin, TN
(901) 587-9777

The mission of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church is to provide for the worship and religious education of the Catholic people of Weakley County and the Catholic students at the University of Tennessee at Martin; to foster a deep sense of worth, belonging, and love within the Catholic community; to promote an understanding of the Catholic faith among members of other faiths; to support and encourage growth in Christian service on a larger than parish basis.

The Church was established in 1966 as a mission extension of Immaculate Conception Parish in Union City, Tennessee. In 1982 St. Jude the Apostle was established canonically as a parish in the diocese of Memphis. The family atmosphere which was initiated during its beginnings has prevailed through the present. Because of the diversity of our involvement in the local civic community, our more than 200 parishioners are able to extend this spirit of friendliness and hospitality to every aspect of contemporary life. Regular worship services, religious education, and social outreach constitute the major activities of the parish.
