Psychology 110-H Research Project

As a first step in designing your research project, browse the Web or other Internet resources for potential research topics. Using the Psychology web sources listed on our course homepage--or other sources you discover--make a list of possible topics and turn them in via e-mail or on paper. Topics should generally fall within the Psych 110-H syllabus: child, adolescent, or adult development; neuropsychology; learning, information processing, and memory; and intelligence.

Additional ideas for research topics will be discussed in class and placed on reserve in the library. The format for the written report will be explained in class, and examples will be made available. I will work with individuals or teams at every stage of the project. Here is a general timetable:

September 24-October 15: Choose topic and team members
October 16-31: Design study and gather needed materials and subjects
November 1-14: Collect data
November 15-December 2: Analyze data and write report
December 3-5: Teams make oral presentations to class
December 6: Papers due
