Emerson Hall Duffy was a resident and business owner in the farming community of Humboldt, Tennessee (Gibson County). He was part owner of the Hawks & Duffy Jobbers & Brokers which operated during the later part of the 19th and early part of the 20th century. He also owned a business in the 1940's called E.H. Duffy Seed & Produce Company. Records from Hawks & Duffy Jobbers & Brokers, a produce inventory from E.H. Duffy Seed & Produce (1948) and miscellaneous letters received by Emerson H. Hall from 1920 to 1952 are included in the collection.
