HISTORY NOTE : Robert (Bob) Carroll was a student and head football coach at the University of Tennessee. Upon completion of his coaching career, he joined the alumni office of the university. He compiled information over his career to write a history book on the University's first 100 years.
CONTENTS : The collection consists of the diaries and ledgers of Henry W. Kimball of Byhalia, Mississippi and Polk, Tennessee from 1881 to 1908. Includes a daily record of the activities of a rural farmer in Northern Mississippi and in Obion River bottoms of Northwest Tennessee. The collection consists of hand written research notes, rough drafts of the book, and interview.
