The integrated studies PreK-3 program prepares teachers in the theory and content of early childhood education. Emphasis is placed on understanding and implementing developmentally appropriate programs and preparing to teach the full range of subjects: English/language arts, science, social studies and mathematics in inclusive classroom settings for children with and without disabilities. Candidates who complete this program earn licensure in PreK-3. Teacher licensure is accredited at both the state and national levels through the Tennessee State Board of Education and the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation.
