MSED: Teaching: Initial Licensure K-8 Spe Ed Interventionist

Soar above by making a difference

One of the biggest benefits of being a teacher is the ability to make a difference. Students with disabilities are unique individuals with a variety of needs. As a special education teacher, you will be challenged to discover specific interventions to fulfill the needs of your students.

Using evidence and research-based practices, UT Martin’s concentration in Initial Licensure K-8 (Special Education Interventionist) will equip you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to identify students with disabilities and design instruction to meet their individual learning needs. This concentration will prepare you to obtain your teaching license in the state of Tennessee.
