Public Relations Emphasis

If you relish the opportunity to get your client’s message out to the public using all forms of the mass media, this sequence is for you. The Public Relations Society of America defines public relations as “a strategic communication process that builds mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and their publics.” Public relations professionals work to interpret and influence public opinion, plan strategic communication campaigns to strengthen relationships between an organization and its publics, counsel management on organizational messages, and conduct research. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential for public relations.
