Arts Alumni Gathering
This is it, the end of the ride, time to hitch up your horse outside the cantina, shake off some that trail dust, and settle down with a cold glass of sarsaparilly and a few good friends. We have a very full day planned for you cowpokes (literally, stop poking cows), you may want to find a place to hold up overnight in these here parts.
There will be a check-in at the Fine Arts Building starting at 3 pm Saturday, November 9 followed by building tours starting at 4 pm. Dinner is served at the UT Martin Alumni Center (Van transportation available throughout the evening). After dinner is the Vanguard Theatre/Department of Music production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. The house will open at 7:30 pm, the performance begins at 8 pm. Following the play, an after-party will be held at the Lindell event center (located in beautiful, majestic, downtown, Martin-by-the-Sea). There’s no charge for any of this except the play tickets, but you better be ready, we will be having an art and memorabilia auction and talking about some other major initiatives like the Bill Snyder Theatre Renaming Project that raises funds for arts scholarships and honors a great, great artist and mentor, William H. Snyder.
StARTS contributors receive complementary admission and reserved seating depending on donor categories. A minimum donation of $100 to our StARTS program (Friends) entitles you to two reserved tickets per event. A donation of $250 to our StARTS program (Sponsor) entitles you to four reserved tickets per event.
Donations can be made online to our StARTS program. Go to our department homepage at www.utm.edu/vta and find the StARTS program link. It will take you to our StARTS page and to the link for donating directly to our StARTS program. You can also do this the old-fashioned way by sending a check.
