Fraternity and sorority life at the University of Tennessee at Martin consists of a community of diversified men and women belonging to 21 different organizations. Our members are building a strong future for themselves, UT Martin, and the surrounding community. Our community offers a unique balance of leadership, academics, philanthropy/service, and social opportunities that enhance the collegiate experience. At UTM we are committed to providing out students with opportunities to grow and excel in scholarship, service, and leadership, while building relationships that help them become engaged and contributing citizens in and out of the classroom.


Some quick facts about our community:

  • Approximately 19% of the main campus enrollment is involved in a fraternity or sorority.
  • The fraternity and sorority community GPA has been higher than the all-campus GPA for 12 of the last 14 semesters.
  • During the 2018 calendar year, we completed 11,490 hours of service and donated over $70,000.
  • At our annual Service Night, over 460 students packed 12,000 macaroni and cheese meals that were donated to a local food bank.
  • 55% of members are involved in one or more activities outside their fraternity or sorority.
