Captain Matthew Gocke

CPT Matthew Gocke

Captain Matthew R. Gocke commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Field Artillery upon his graduation from ROTC from California State University Fullerton in 2011. After Graduation from Field Artillery Basic Officer Leaders Course (BOLC) He reported to Fort Riley, KS and was assigned to 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT), 1st Infantry Division. He served as a Platoon Fire Direction Officer, Platoon Leader and Executive Officer in Delta Battery 1st Battalion, 5th Field Artillery Regiment, as well as Company Fire Support Officer for Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment. In 2015 Captain Gocke Attended the Field Artillery Captains Career Course (FACCC) at Fort Sill, OK.

 

Upon Graduation of FACCC CPT Gocke was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 11th Field Artillery Regiment at Schofield Barracks, HI. He served as Fire Support Officer for 2nd Squadron, 14th Cavalry, Battalion S4 and Fire Direction Officer for 2-11 FA, as well as, Battery Commander for Headquarters and Headquarters Battery (HHB), Division Artillery, 25th Infantry Division. 

 

Captain Gocke holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree from Whitter College (CA). 

 

His Operational and Combat deployment include Operation Spartan Shield, Kuwait (2014-2015); Operation Freedom Sentinel, Afghanistan (2017-2018) His awards and decorations include: Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal. 

 

Captain Gocke is married to his wife Aubrey Gocke and together they have three Sons: Samuel, Jacob and Asher and a daughter, Everly.
