Advising Holds

Advisor holds are placed on your record automatically each semester. Prior to registration, contact your advisor to remove your hold and review your plan of study for the next semester.


Academically eligible hold-Does not prevent registration. No action needed.


Advisor Evaluation hold - Placed after you meet with your advisor and your hold is removed. Must be completed prior to registering.

Academic Progress

To review your academic progress, please check your Flight Plan Degree Evaluation (access it through your Banner account).


Flight Plan is an advising tool used by both students and advisors to evaluate coursework against degree requirements.

Note areas “not met”. Depending on your catalog year, there are certain requirements you must meet in order to graduate, such as:

  • 25% of hours must come from UTM
  • Minimum 2.0 UTM and overall GPA
  • 60 hours from 4 year institution
  • Must complete General Education and Major Field Tests
  • B.A. students must complete 36 upper division hours
  • B.S. students must complete 42 upper division hours
  • Minimum grade C in major courses

In your last Semester

Students must take the General Education and Major Field Exams.


General education, aka Post Comp Test-Schedule with Student Success and Testing Center to schedule. Click here to register for the Post Comp Test.


Psychology Major Field Exam- Students will register during their Psychology 480 Senior Seminar Course. The test is taken in the Student Success and Testing Center.
