The STEM Center adjusted plans for June 2020 due to the COVID-19 crisis. Dr. Kate Ericson ran the first-ever STEM Center online PD, a two-day workshop on K-8 computer science. Half the teachers in the June 16 Fractions workshop agreed to attend on June 17, keeping the number of people in the classroom below 10 on each day to allow social distancing. A total of 30 teachers attended workshops in computer science, elementary fractions, and spreadsheets as instructional tools. Workshop resources are available on the STEM Kits and Lesson Plans page.
