Telephone '04 PBX Install

Gone...

David and Troy do their best Elvis imitations...

Thank yew... Thank yew very much...

Final problems:  One digital station documentation error (my fault), two wiring errors and minor programming changes (may not have seemed minor to the 911 dispatcher though!).  Not bad for 3000+ stations!

AFTER THE INSTALL...  THE CLEANUP BEGINS

I now have 9 PCs in the LAN table.  From left to right:  Voicemail, Faxserver, Help Desk Call logger, PBX Maintenance Terminal, Help Desk ACD, H.323 Gateway, Call Acounting,  Unified Messaging Test box, all using two KVMs and flat screens.  Down at the end is my own office PC and 21" monitor.

View of rear, showing finger channel and wiring cleanup so two 18" deep storage shelves could be placed back to back where the old PBX was.

Other end of rear of LAN table, showing cables from PBX exiting out of 3" PVC conduit along with fiber that provides uplink for HP 2524 switch sitting on top of one of 4 UPSs.

View from rear of shelving shows cleared backboard formally occupied by 66 blocks of old PBX's switch tails.  Clump of spliced wiring is transition from outside cable to protection frame tails.  Plans are to build a re-enterable wooden box around these.

Local CO's DMARC could use some clean-up too.

Not my job, mang.

One of the 220V services to old -48V rectifier was converted to eight 110V outlets.  Four are mounted to the wall for use to keep small UPS units charged and ready for use by KSUs in remote buildings.  They sit on a plywood cover over the main batteries.  The other four go to the LAN table and power the 4 UPSs for the PCs.
