By appearing to test, you attest that you:

  • Have not been diagnosed with COVID-19 or exhibited any symptoms within the last 14 days.
  • Have not been in close personal contact with someone who has a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis within the last 14 days.
  • Have not exhibited any flu-like symptoms such as fever or chills, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath within the last 14 days.
  • Have not traveled abroad within the last 14 days.

If you cannot attest to all the above, you will not be permitted to enter the UT Martin Testing Center. Please reschedule your appointment for a time when you have met the above parameters.

The Testing Services office at UT Martin provides a variety of testing services for those wanting to get on track with their education, complete their bachelor's degree, and to those wanting to continue beyond.


Testing accommodations

Testing accommodations are available for test takers with disabilities or health-related needs. If you have approved accommodations at UT Martin and would like to request use of the accommodations for the following exams, please contact the Office of Disability Services and request an accommodation letter outlining your testing accommodations be sent to TestingCenter@utm.edu. Please allow 10 business days to process this request. If you are not registered with the Office of Disability Services, you may also provide documentation to ODS that will support your request.

ACT On-Campus Test- is only offered to currently admitted UT Martin students and applicants with a Student ID number; ACT On-Campus scores are only valid for UT Martin placement purposes.


ETS PROFICIENCY PROFILE & MAJOR FIELD EXAMS are administered by the Testing Services office throughout the year free of charge. NOTICE: Every student must take the ETS Proficiency Profile in order to graduate. If a student does not take this test, they will not receive their degree until doing so. Space is limited, so it is recommended that students register for this test in their next to last semester, or very early in their final semester.


**If you are an online student, you may take the ETS Proficiency Profile and Major Field Exams online with Proctor U. Please call the UTM Testing Center (881-7727) to complete Proctor U registration (fee of $20.50 applies). Please note, there is a 72-hour advance notice requirement to test with Proctor U. Any student may test in the UT Martin Testing Center or at any of the UT Martin satellite campuses (free of charge).**


Accuplacer is offered by appointment on most weekdays. Registration must first be done through the institution requiring your Accuplacer scores, then you may contact the Testing Center to schedule your appointment.


NCEES exams: The FE and FS exams are offered year-round as computer-based exams. Register online at www.ncees.org.


MAT (required by some universities for graduate program admission) is a 1 hour exam offered by appointment on most weekdays. Registration is done through the Testing Services website at www.registerblast.com/utm.


Proctoring Service is provided for students enrolled in online courses at UTM and other institutions.  There is no proctoring fee for UTM online students as long as the exam is for a UTM course. Please see www.registerblast.com/utm for further pricing information.


Professional and IT Exams are offered through PearsonVue, which include Certification and Employment Testing.
