Welcome to the Tennessee Governor's School for the Agricultural Sciences (TGSAS) website. TGSAS, Penn State, and Virginia Polytechnic and State University have the only three Governor's Schools for Agriculture in the United States. The TGSAS experience provides a broad overview of the diverse fields of agriculture and natural resources. Interested high school students and their parents should review this website to learn more about requirements and the application process.
The Governor’s Schools Student Applications are set to launch October 1, 2021. The deadline for us to receive your application is January 15, 2022. Delegates or alternates will be notified by February 25, 2022.

The 2022 Governor's School for the Agricultural Sciences will be hosted by the University of Tennessee at Martin May 28-June 24, 2022. Applications will launch October 1, 2021
Group Study Projects
Group Study Projects, or GSPs, are small, specialized groups taught by expert faculty from various Tennessee agricultural schools. These hands-on projects allow scholars to experience firsthand the science and technology associated with agriculture and natural resources management.
