Safe Zone Training

The Center for Women and Gender Equality is excited to offer Safe Zone Training to faculty and staff employed at UT Martin.

Safe Zone Training at UTM is in two parts. In Part 1, you will learn the basic terminology concerning gender and sex, the definition of allyship, and how to make UTM an inclusive space for LGBT+ members. In Part 2, you will apply the knowledge of Part one to real life scenarios and we will take a deeper dive into the concepts of gender, sex, identity, expression, and orientation.

We are currently offering Part 1 to faculty and staff at UT Martin only. We are developing Part 2 and will soon offer both sessions to students as well.

Please click on the links below to register for a Safe Zone Training, Part 1 session. Sessions are limited to 25 participants. You will receive an email with the Zoom link the day prior to the session.
