The West Tennessee Writing Project is located in the Department of English and Modern Foreign Languages at The University of Tennessee at Martin. It is one of over 200 sites of the National Writing Project.
The purpose of WTWP is to improve writing and writing instruction in West Tennessee schools, K-16. WTWP operates under these principles:
The 2018 Summer “Mini” Institute at the UT-Martin Ripley Center was held July 13 and 17–20. Teachers earned their choice of a certificate for 30 Hours of High Quality Professional Development or a stipend for their participation.
