Jourdan Rystrom concert to benefit Special Needs Prom

MARTIN, Tenn. – Jourdan Rystrom, a Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter, will perform from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Oct. 27, in the University of Tennessee at Martin’s Watkins Auditorium during a concert benefitting the third-annual Special Needs Prom, sponsored by the UT Martin Non-Traditional Student Association.

Rystrom has several songs available on YouTube, Spotify and other music platforms, and some of her music can be heard on the soap opera “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Concert tickets are $15 at the door or $10 with a valid UT Martin student ID or a ticket from the Oct. 27 homecoming football game. Seating is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets can also be pre-purchased via PayPal by sending total ticket cost to specialprom2018@yahoo.com. One hundred percent of ticket sales will be used to support the Special Needs Prom.

The Special Needs Prom each November allows area students with various special needs to attend a high school prom in an accommodating environment. The prom will be held at 2 p.m., Nov. 17, in the Boling University Center’s Duncan Ballroom. Styles on Broadway in Martin will again provide free hair and makeup services for all attendees from noon-2 p.m.
