Spring dance performance to be held April 11-12

The University of Tennessee at Martin dance ensemble will give their annual spring concert at 8 p.m., April 11 and 12, in the UT Martin Student Life Center.

The performance, titled “I’ll be Me,” will feature works choreographed by both UT Martin students and faculty in styles such as hip hop, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, modern and post-modern dance. Student choreographers include Kimani Subber, a communications major; Anna Lax-Gatti, a fine and performing arts major; Melody DeMoulin, a health and human performance major; and Maaliya’h Austin, a fine and performing arts major.

Additional works choreographed by Sarah McCormick, associate professor of dance, will include two full ensemble performances as well as a collaboration between McCormick and mechanical engineering major Laryn Hampton.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for UT Martin students with their student ID and free for children ages 10 and under. Tickets will only be available for purchase at the box office, opening one hour prior to the show.
