UT Martin offers elementary school softball camp, Aug. 19-21

The University of Tennessee at Martin softball team will host a fast pitch foundations camp for third through fifth-grade students from 4-5 p.m., Aug. 19-21, at Bettye Giles Softball Field. The registration fee is $90 per athlete, and all students interested in fast-pitch softball are welcome to participate. Previous experience is not required.

This camp is designed to provide participants with the fundamental skills needed to progress in the sport. Covered skills include fielding, hitting, base running and basic game knowledge in addition to a discussion of how to mentally approach the sport of softball. Campers will have hands-on experience both on the field and in the Skyhawk batting cages.

All campers should bring their own softball bat and glove each day.
