“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” comes to UT Martin

“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” Broadway musical comedy will be performed at the University of Tennessee at Martin at 8 p.m., Nov. 7-9, and 3 p.m., Nov. 10, in the Harriet Fulton Theater in the Fine Arts Building. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for students.

The UT Martin departments of music and visual and theatre arts are partnering to host the production, which tells the story of several Putnam Valley Middle School students who don’t fit in but who eventually find purpose when they compete in the regional spelling bee.

Tickets can be purchased or reserved from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. through the Department of Visual and Theatre Arts main office in room 201 of the Fine Arts Building the week of the performance. For more information or to reserve tickets, call 731-881-7400 or 731-881-7090.
