Santa’s Village to return Dec. 12-15

The University of Tennessee at Martin has partnered with the City of Martin Department of Parks and Recreation to host the 35th-annual Santa’s Village event Dec. 12-15 in the university’s Ned McWherter Agricultural Complex north of Graham Stadium.

The event will be open from 6-9 p.m., Dec. 12-13; 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Dec. 14; and 1-5 p.m., Dec. 15. Admission is free, but the donation of an unopened children’s toy or non-perishable canned goods worth $5 or more is requested to support needy families in the Weakley County area.

Santa Claus will be present to meet with children of all ages in the traditional forest of lights, and MTD will again display the model train city. A petting zoo sponsored by Hooker Farms will feature a variety of animals, and live entertainment will perform on the stage while vendors conduct an arts-and-crafts fair on the arena’s upper level.

For more information, contact the Department of Parks and Recreation at 731-587-6784.
