Davis to serve as Phi Kappa Phi ceremony keynote speaker

Dr. Lajuan Davis, University of Tennessee at Martin associate professor of business communications, will serve as the annual fall Phi Kappa Phi recognition ceremony keynote speaker, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, via Zoom.

Davis will discuss how educators can assess their strengths to be effective teachers during her presentation titled “Teaching Professors: Know Your Superpower.” Davis has taught business communications at UT Martin for seven years and earned her Ph.D. from Mississippi State University.

“Being asked to serve as the featured speaker is a very humbling experience,” Davis said. “I frequently speak at conferences in front of a few of my UTM colleagues, but having the opportunity to speak to UTM professors from all facets of the university is daunting. I do promise I will provide all with some thinking points and a little light entertainment for the evening.”

The lecture will be open to the public for viewing and can be accessed at https://tennessee.zoom.us/j/94031114502 or through the Zoom Meeting ID: 940 3111 4502.

Phi Kappa Phi Chapter 127 was founded at UT Martin in 1971 to celebrate the academic excellence of students and faculty.
