First student receives leaders in banking scholarship

Allie Landrum, of Dyer, is the first recipient of the University of Tennessee at Martin’s Leaders in Banking Scholarship. This scholarship program was created by Security Bank and Trust Company to assist students pursuing a career in the banking industry.

“We want to thank Security Bank and Trust Company for their generous contribution and interest in our students,” said Ben Jones, UT Martin director of development, during the presentation of the scholarship to Landrum.

The Leaders in Banking Scholarship recipient is selected by the Dunagan Chair of Excellence in Banking and will be required to participate in two internships with Security Bank and Trust Company.
