Skyhawk Entrepreneurship Workshop Series begins Feb. 3

The College of Business and Global Affairs and Tom E. Hendrix Chair of Free Enterprise will offer the Fifth Annual Skyhawk Entrepreneurship Workshop Series at the University of Tennessee at Martin beginning February 3. The series will continue every Thursday night through March 10. Each workshop will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Room 33 of the Business Administration Building.

All six workshops are free of charge and open to the public. Each session is designed to help potential and current entrepreneurs gain a more comprehensive understanding of how to create a sustainable and growing business.

Over the span of six meetings, participants will learn from expert presentations. Topics will include how to turn an idea into a functioning business by identifying the target market, branding the organization and much more. “So many people wonder if they can start and own their own firm. The speakers in this series will give ideas about how to be more creative and successful in business ventures,” said Dr. Tommy Cates, Tom E. Hendrix Chair of Excellence and professor of management.
