Get outside, explore new places, and build community with Campus Recreation’s Fall 2026 Outdoor Adventure Trips. These trips are designed to be accessible, guided, and memorable for students of all experience levels.
Camp Skyhawk
Paris Landing State Park
August 28–30, 2026
Trip Level: Beginner–Moderate
Signature Outdoor Adventure Event
Camp Skyhawk is Campus Recreation’s annual overnight outdoor experience and a signature event within the Outdoor Adventure program. This weekend trip focuses on exploration, connection, and creating shared memories outdoors.
Trip Includes
- Camping
- Hiking
- Water Tubing
- All meals during the trip
- Camping gear (tents, sleeping systems, and group equipment)
- Experienced Campus Recreation staff and trip guides
- Camp Skyhawk T‑shirt
Important Participation Requirements
- Participants must be able to swim to participate in water tubing.
- All participants who choose to tube are required to wear a U.S. Coast Guard–approved life jacket.
- Water tubing is optional; participants may choose not to tube and still fully participate in the trip.
Transportation
- Transportation is not included. Additional details and expectations will be shared prior to departure.
This trip is open to students of all experience levels and serves as an introduction to outdoor adventure through a supportive, guided experience.
Mammoth Cave Adventure Trip
Mammoth Cave National Park
October 10–12, 2026
Trip Level: Moderate (Intermediate)
Explore one of the world’s most iconic natural landmarks during a weekend adventure at Mammoth Cave National Park.
Cave Experience
- River Styx Cave Tour – A guided cave tour featuring prolonged walking, stairways, low‑light conditions, and uneven surfaces. Participants should be comfortable with enclosed spaces and moderate physical activity.
Trip Includes
- River Styx guided cave tour
- Camping
- Hiking
- All meals during the trip
- Camping gear (tents, sleeping systems, and group equipment)
- Experienced Campus Recreation staff and trip guides
Transportation
- Transportation is not included. Additional logistics will be shared with registered participants.
This trip combines surface‑level outdoor recreation with a unique underground adventure experience.
Micro Trips
Two Opportunities – Fall 2026
Trip Levels: Vary (Details TBA)
Micro Trips are shorter outdoor experiences designed for students who want to explore without committing to a full overnight trip.
Additional details including locations, activities, and what’s included will be announced soon.
Who Can Participate?
- Trips are open to UT Martin students unless otherwise noted.
- No prior outdoor experience is required unless specified.
- All trips are led by trained Campus Recreation staff members and guides.
