Campus Tree Honorariums and Memorials

UT Martin’s 15 acre quad and surrounding grounds are beloved for their beautiful trees. Individuals or groups may donate $150 to have a tree planted to honor or memorialize a campus organization, team, class, group, or individual. If desired, a marker will also be provided to commemorate the honor. See instructions below to donate, and email Chris Virgin with the name of the entity providing donation, the name of the individual or group being honored and, if a sign is desired, the desired wording (see details below).

To donate

  1. Go to give.utm.edu
  2. In the “Make a Gift” box, enter $150, and click the arrow on the right.
  3. Under “Select an Area of Support,” click the bottom right box, “Search for College, School, or Preferred Fund.”
  4. In the “All Giving Opportunities” box, enter “Tree” in the search box in the top right corner.
  5. Click on “Tree Gift Fund” in the box under “Campus Wide Initiatives,” then click “Continue” at bottom right.
  6. Enter your information as instructed.
  7. Next, email Chris Virgin to confirm that you have donated. To have a plaque placed with the tree, provide in your message the text that you desire on the plaque, as per below.
