Recruiting for WestTeach 2026 will begin March 1, 2026.

Apply to join WestTeach 2026

Applicants must submit their application with a letter of recommendation from their principal. Applications are reviewed and selected by the WestTeach Advisory Board. One teacher per school district will be selected up to 30 members per class. Recruitment begins on March 1, each year, with class beginning in August. Application will be available at that time.

Upon graduation, each teacher will be given a $100 gift card sponsored by Leaders Education Foundation to be used for their classroom.

Selection Criteria

Applicants must be K–12 educators who aspire to remain in the classroom and are committed to serving as leaders within their schools and communities. Participant selection will be based on demonstrated leadership, professional achievements, and potential to positively impact the region’s educational system. Administrators are also welcome to apply if more than 50% of their job responsibilities involve direct classroom instruction.

Costs

Tuition for WestTeach is $400. Tuition must be paid by their school system or the participant before the first session. Upon successful completion of the program and graduation, each participant will receive a $100 gift card to use for their classroom.
