Course description: CSCI-360 Introduction to Computer Networks (3): Fundamentals of Microcomputer connectivity and communications. Local and wide area network basics, networking architecture and standards. Network protocols including TCP/IP. Comparison, installation and maintenance of Network Operating System. Prereq: CSCI 222.

Book: Computer Networks And Internets, Third Edition by Douglas E. Comer

Tests: There will be a Mid-term test and a Final Exam.

Quizzes: There will be a few quizzes.

Programming projects: There will be several programming projects.  These projects will require knowledge of C/C++.  A description of the problem and a date due will be given.  To get the best grade, a project will need to be demonstrated on time.

Attendance: A sign-up sheet will be passed along most days and points will be averaged in for days attended.  For the online class, the discussion board will be used to measure attendance.
