In this position I have taught four or more courses every semester. The primary studio course load has been ceramics, design and drawing; also sculpture, weaving, crafts studio and jewelry. I have served on Division and University committees. I have served as an academic advisor for the art education majors. I have been actively involved with student recruitment. I have served as a faculty advisor for student art groups.  I have been actively involved in curriculum development for the Art Program.  I have taught evening courses for the Department of Public Service in ceramics and weaving.

In this position I ran my own pottery studio and an art gallery. I built the interior of the business from the empty shell of a room. Sold function pottery. I also ran a monthly exhibit schedule, showing the work of artists from western Kansas.

In this position, I taught at six grade schools and one Junior High. At four of the grade schools I taught by the "Art on a Cart" method. At the Junior High and two grade schools, in other towns, I had an actual art classroom. In the course of a week I saw more than 650 students. I was on the Contract Negotiations Team for two years, serving as vice-president of the local teachers association one year. I also coached junior high girl's basketball.
