I am a Professor of Geography in the Department of Agriculture, Geosciences, and Natural Resources.

I have been on staff at UT Martin since the mid-1990’s and served as the chair of the former Dept. of Geology, Geography, and Physics between 2002 and 2009.  During the 2013-2014 academic year, I was the President of the UT Martin Faculty Senate.  In Spring 2017, I received a Teaching Award of Merit from the North American Colleges & Teachers of Agriculture. I also do custom cartographic work for others on occasion.  My commissioned maps have been published in about a dozen books, scholarly journals, booklets, and brochures.
