SMACS Visit the Discovery Park of America

The University of Tennessee at Martin chapter of the Student Members of the American Chemical Society (UTM SMACS) organized a tour of the Discovery Park of America in Union City on Saturday, January 25. The group enjoyed touring the Discovery Center housing nine permanent exhibit galleries, and several outside exhibits spread across the 50 acre campus. The group also met the visiting first married couple of space astronauts Robert "Hoot" Gibson and Rhea Seddon who combined have flown on each of the space shuttles with a total of 8 missons.  L to R: Faculty advisor Dr. S.
