Chancellor
Dr. Yancy E. Freeman is UT Martin’s 12th chief executive officer and leads a primary regional university in the University of Tennessee System that includes the main campus and five regional centers located throughout West Tennessee. He previously served at UT Chattanooga for the past 25 years in various admissions, recruitment and enrollment roles.

Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
The Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs is the chief academic officer. The CAO oversees all academic programs and curricula offered by the five colleges, the Paul Meek Library, and the Honors Program. The provost/SVCAA also oversees all enrollment and academic support areas and institutional effectiveness offices.

Senior Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration
The Senior Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration oversees the university’s budget and campus operations. She is responsible for the Bursar, Business Services, Campus Police, Computer Store, Environmental Health and Safety, Human Resources, Physical Plant, and Skyhawk Mail and Printing Services units.

The Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs leads the Division of Student Affairs which includes the departments of Housing, Student Health & Counseling, Student Life, Student Conduct & Care, Multicultural Affairs, Campus Recreation, and Career Planning & Development.

Interim Vice Chancellor for University Advancement
The Vice Chancellor for University Advancement oversees all aspects of fundraising and friend raising for the university and is a member of the campus and the UT Foundation’s executive leadership team.

Vice Chancellor for Athletics
The Vice Chancellor for Athletics oversees the athletic department that sponsors 20 Division 1 sports which includes close to 500 student athletes and 60 staff members. He manages the day to day $12.5 million budget and adheres to the compliance of the division with Ohio Valley Conference and NCAA guidelines.

Vice Chancellor for Communications and Marketing
The Vice Chancellor for Communications and Marketing is responsible for the Office of University Relations, which oversees official university communications outside of intercollegiate athletics. The office plans, initiates, and coordinates advertising, marketing, news, photography, publications, social media, video, and other communications for the university.

The Executive Director of Research, Outreach, and Economic Development is responsible for the oversight and compliance of research and grants, oversees the coordination and promotion of non-degree and development programs and facilitates economic development partnerships and projects.

The Chief Information Officer leads the Office of Information Technology Services, which includes Client Services & Support, Classroom & AV Technology, Video & Distance Learning, Web and Application Development, Operations, Instructional Technology Center, Networking, Cable TV, & Telephone, System Administration, and Security.

Associate General Counsel
The Associate General Counsel provides legal counsel and representation to the UT Martin administration. She is an attorney in the UT System Office of General Counsel and maintains an office on the Martin campus.

Faculty Senate President
The Faculty Senate President serves on the Chancellor’s Cabinet and represents the faculty of the University of Tennessee at Martin. The Faculty Senate President represents the faculty of UT Martin on the UT System University Faculty Council (UFC) and in the Tennessee University Faculty Senate (TUFS) meetings.
