The University Courts apartment complex was developed south of campus and the single-students' dormitories, to house married students and incoming faculty members. It originally consisted of 92 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. By the fall of 1976, an additional 76 units were added to the complex. The apartments still serve as student and short-term faculty housing.
