Courses The Experience How to Fund your Semester with UTM in Siena Frequently Asked Questions

Immerse yourself in the sights, tastes, and sounds of beautiful Siena, Italy! UTM in Siena is an affordable three-month program where students earn a semester’s worth of credits while living in the medieval city of Siena, Italy. You will experience all that the region of Tuscany has to offer without interrupting your four-year course of study. Courses in a variety of subjects are offered in English by faculty from UTM, the Dante Alighieri Society of Siena, and the University of Siena

Siena, Italy is an obvious place to study the arts and humanities, and many of the courses offered through UTM in Siena will introduce you to Medieval and Renaissance art and architecture, as well as the culture – both modern and historical – of Siena, of Tuscany, of Italy, and of Western Civilization. And of course, built into each course are cultural experiences in and around Siena, Florence, and the whole of Tuscany meant to enhance your classroom education with first-hand experiences of art and culture from Medieval to modern.

UTM in Siena offers a summer program for Health Science students (including Nursing and Pre-med), and during our fall program, courses in Agriculture, Agribusiness, and Animal Science, and Business and Management. All courses are meant to be fully integrated into the history and culture of Siena and Tuscany, giving students unique hands-on experiences and new perspectives on life and academics. And of course, students will also have time in the kitchen learning to prepare the foods that have made Italy cuisine famous.
