Complete the FAFSA

Complete the FAFSA here. UT Martin’s School Code is 003531.

Apply for Scholarships

Accepted students have the opportunity to fill out an application in our Scholarship Aviator and be eligible for hundreds of private donor- funded and departmental scholarships!

Deadline: October 15th – February 1st

Apply for Housing

We make sure campus living is a positive experience! The UT Martin Office of Housing provides a fully- trained staff of residence hall directors and resident assistants who tend to the needs of residents. Students enrolled with fewer than 45 completed credit hours before the first day of fall classes are required to live on campus. Students living in the Tennessee counties of Weakley, Obion, Gibson, Carroll, or Henry and the Kentucky counties of Fulton, Hickman and Graves have the option to commute to campus.

Review your UT Martin Degree Plan & Course Equivalencies

We offer a comprehensive Transfer Equivalency Self Service (TESS) System that allows you to put in your completed transfer coursework and see how that will fit into your desired degree plan at UT Martin. The best part, you can create an account and save all of your information within the system! You can also check your completed classes on the Transfer Equivalency Table.

View your Degree Works Flight Plan

Look at your Degree Works Flight Plan on the myUTM Portal. You will log into the portal using your UTM user name and password. Once you are admitted to UT Martin and have submitted official college transcripts, Degree Works will help you (and your advisor) plan and complete your program of study successfully and efficiently. You will be able to view an organized, easy-to-reach checklist that outlines requirements for courses of study set forth in the University catalog. A What If Tool can be used to see different degree plans for other majors at UTM.

Let us Know You’re Committing to UT Martin

Complete your Intent to Enroll survey that you receive via email. This is a non-binding survey to let us know you plan on attending UT Martin!

Deadline: December 1st – May 1st

Accept Scholarships and Financial Aid

Accept Scholarships in your UT Martin Portal. Once logged in, go to Banner Self-Service, Personal, Financial Aid, and then Award Information.

Deadline: February 1st – August 1st

Register for Transfer and Adult Orientation

Transfer and Adult Orientation is a 1-day orientation experience designed to introduce you to the University and ease your transition to UT Martin. Our goal is to help you feel confident in your decision to attend UTM, comfortable and welcomed to our diverse campus, connected with fellow classmates and curious about the opportunities available to you.

Deadline: February 1st – August 1st

Submit your Immunization Records or Exemption

All immunization requirements or an immunization exemption must be submitted prior to enrollment in classes through Med+Proctor. Log-in information and detailed requirements are available at www.utm.edu/immunization.

Satisfy EVEA Requirement

Most students satisfy the Enrollment Verification for Entitlements Act requirement by completed the FAFSA for which their US citizenship or eligible non-citizenship status is confirmed by the federal government. To submit other documentation to satisfy the EVEA requirement and to review information regarding students who are exempt, visit www.utm.edu/evea.

Select a Meal Plan

You can select a Meal Plan at SOAR or on Banner Self-Service.

Deadline: August 1st

Purchase Books

Textbooks can be purchased through your Banner Self-Service, Students, “Order textbooks online” or by clicking this link.

Submit your Final Transcripts

Submit official copies of all final college and high school transcripts to:

Register Your Vehicle

All students are allowed to have a vehicle on campus, however you do not have to have a vehicle to get around town! Martin offers amenities and stores within walking distance of campus. All vehicles must be registered with Public Safety. Directions on how to complete a vehicle registration can be found here!
