Choro Ensemble provides music majors and minors and campus musicians the opportunity to explore and perform main stream repertoire for flute choir, flute quartets, trios and duets.
The choro ensemble performs original pieces as well as transcriptions from mainstream classical and popular literature and rehearses one hour per week. Students will gain experience in sight reading, performing, and methodical rehearsal techniques. Students will be given the opportunity to perform on flute, piccolo, alto and bass flutes as required by the repertoire.
Students are selected for the group based upon audition at the beginning of each semester.
