This is the smaller, auditioned choral ensemble in the music department. It is open to anyone on campus after a successful audition.
Each member of this ensemble will be auditioned during the first week of classes in the fall semester. The brief audition will consist of a vocal/aural component: scales, pitch-matching, and a brief a capella song (e.g. “Happy Birthday” or “My Country ‘Tis of Thee”), as well as a small sight singing example to determine the level of music learning. Each member must also be able to attend the regularly scheduled rehearsal times. There are 1-2 concerts each semester and participation on those is mandatory. It is possible to be a part of the group without enrolling. Those participants will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Approval from the director is required.
